Civano is a prominent neighborhood in southeast Tucson originally planned as a model for sustainable communities in the area. These businesses provide nearby activities and benefits like a dance studio, hair salon, fitness studio, cafe, and for mountain bikers, Fantasy Island is right across the street.
Civano broke ground in 1999, but the average home was built in 2003. Homes average 1,900 square feet.The neighborhood is zoned for schools like Civano Elementary and Middle Schools and Cienega High School.
