Neighborhood spotlight: 45+ Sun City Oro Valley

Nestled in the foothills of the Catalina Mountains in Oro Valley is an active adult community that leaves little to be desired in the way of activities, amenities and mountain views.

Sun City Oro Valley (SCOV), which is located within the master-planned Rancho Vistoso, is a beautiful neighborhood complex for adults ages 45 and older who want the independence of a single-family home with activities and amenities just outside the front door.

SCOV is only 40 minutes from downtown Tucson and just under an hour from Tucson International Airport. For residents who wish to stay closer to home, there is a variety of nearby shopping and dining options in the quaint Oro Valley area.

Sun City encompasses nearly 1,000 acres of desert landcape and contains approximately 2,500 residences. There are more than 50 single-story floor plans from which to choose in the Del Webb-built neighborhood.

All homes have two- or three-car garages, and depending on where you live, homes overlook the mountains, desert and/or golf course. Home sizes range from more than 1,000 square feet to over 2,600 square feet.

Residents can play on the community's semi-private, 18-hole golf course, The Views Golf Club, or choose from a myriad activities available, such as swimming, pickleball, tennis or one of the many clubs catering to residents' varying interests. There is an active community calendar for social and entertainment events.

SCOV is a moderately priced neighborhood that offers wonderful resident amenities and provides the nearby big city amenities of nearby Tucson.
